The District offers a Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program that serves both English and Spanish speaking students. For the 2025-2026 school year, the program will be offered at
- Fairsite: Preschool and TK
- Valley Oaks: Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade

At Galt Joint Union Elementary School District, we believe that all languages and cultures are important. We will provide an inclusive educational opportunity that values and teaches multiculturalism, develops bilingualism/biliteracy, and provides a high-quality academic program for our students to strengthen their self-perception and identity, and be successful in a global society.

An information session is held every spring for new families interested in our DLI program. It is important that parents are informed about program goals and instructional design before choosing this program. Please check back later for more information.
Parents/Guardians will be notified of acceptance into the program in June.
New students must be registered at their home school.
A separate DLI application must be submitted.
Applications will be available on the website beginning March 1st.
