Curriculum services

Welcome to the office of curriculum services, home of seven outstanding neighborhood schools.  Our District understands the importance of enhancing student achievement through rigorous programs with clearly defined standards and high expectations. As such, the programs within GJUESD are based on the premise of equal access for all students to the core curriculum. It is our goal to ensure that every student has the opportunity and access to achieve academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our department supports teaching and learning, professional learning, evaluation of programs and staff, as well as the administration of both local and state assessments.  We provide guidance on cycles of improvement through careful use of data, reflection on problems of practice and with the collaboration of effective teaching and learning practices.

State assessments results for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) can be accessed through ParentVUE on any device connected to the internet, such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone.  Once you log in, click on state tests and then click on CAASPP to view your child’s report.  If you need assistance creating a ParentVUE account, please contact your child’s school office.

The California State Board of Education approved the Mathematics Framework for California Public Schools instructional guidance for educators in July 2023.  Our district will launch a 3-year mathematics plan which will include a deep study of the mathematics standards and    the new mathematics framework (2023), pilot and adoption of instructional materials (2024)   and the implementation of a new mathematics program (2025).
